The Book of Cross Chapter 3 has been released today, and if you’ve been waiting to see highlights from the national championships in Asheville, NC and what Jeremy felt like at Worlds, or wondering what life is like traveling and racing in Europe, you’re going to want to watch this. In the episode, you travel with Jeremy to Sittard in The Netherlands to the USA Cycling housing and on to Zolder, Belgium for the World Championships. It’s a behind-the-scenes that you don’t often get with pros, and Jeremy talks honestly about what it takes and how it feels to race at the top-level in Europe while maintaining his training and sanity.
While Worlds may not have been the best race for Jeremy “33rd… I don’t think that’s good enough. I want to be able to be a guy who can ride in the front” he says, philosophically after the race. “It’s about coming here ready to race rather than being overdone.”
“I think my season has been a good season… In the US, I was the guy to be beaten,” he says. He adds that he’s been pushed in a way he hasn’t been pushed before, but he’s happy. And the Book of Cross? “It’s the 32 year old Jeremy Powers, not the 25 year old… I’m super grateful to anyone who takes the time to watch”
